Moving my SEO knowledge 'Forward'
Back to the Classroom
For the last few months I have been visiting Forward 3D’s London office to brush up on my SEO knowledge (both content and technical). I currently work for Gray & Osbourn, an online fashion boutique and have been working with Forward3D for the past 2 years.
I am soon to start a new role and wanted to hone my SEO knowledge, which the team was more than happy to help with. Our account manager James asked me which aspects of SEO I wanted to know more about, and then put a schedule together that I could work on throughout my visits.
It’s so lovely that the team has taken time out of their manic schedules to help and teach me the ins and outs of SEO. Not many agencies would do this. And wow, what an experience it’s been! I can honestly say that I have learnt more in the last few months than I would from any external course.
My technical knowledge was extremely basic when I first started, but now thanks to masters Karl and Kissei, I can safely guide myself through Google Web-Master Tools, Google Analytics and other SEO tools such as Screaming Frog. I’ve also had the opportunity to sit in on a real campaign briefing session, thanks to Luka and Kate.
Luka also took me through the process of keyword mapping and how to use this information to create a content plan. The amount of information that has been given to me through my visits has frazzled my brain; to the point where coffee was required on an hourly basis!
From a Client's Perspective:
It has been great to get up close and see how Forward3D work and how the teams are set up. As a client you usually don’t get to see the daily in’s and out’s. Everyone has been so welcoming and friendly, that it’s actually sad to know that my regular trips to the office are coming to an end.
I would highly recommend for any client that works with Forward3D to get down to the office to see and learn what they do and how they can help you. They are specialists in their field and so welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble and the knowledge you will acquire is priceless. I would love to come to Forward3D’s office on a weekly basis to keep on top of my knowledge, but with starting a new role soon that would be a little tricky.
Lastly, I just want to say a HUGE thank you to James Green, Kissei Otuteye, Karl Fung, Luka Shimada and Kate Naylor for taking their time to help me over the last couple of months. You have made me feel part of the team and given me so much knowledge that I can use in the very near future, for which I am so grateful.
