Lindsay Hong Appointed as Locaria's Director of Business Development and Operations
Forward3D, the global independent digital marketing agency has today formally announced Lindsay Hong as a key addition to its international and performance linguistics division, Locaria. Forward3D’s International Division helps brands to scale internationally across any marketing channel or platform worldwide.
Lindsay has most recently worked in a Change Management capacity for the NET-A-PORTER Group, managing the growth plan of THE OUTNET.CN in China. She also helped NET-A-PORTER establish several new international luxury offerings, including the launch of its global beauty business and a next day delivery service in Hong Kong. At Burberry, Lindsay worked on of a number of digital initiatives, including Burberry Bespoke and the internal social enterprise platform, Burberry World.
As Director of Business Development and Operations for Locaria, Hong’s remit will include the strategic development of the division’s operations and ongoing accounts, as well as overseeing the scaling of Locaria’s business model during an extended period of rapid growth.
On joining the agency, Hong said “Locaria provided an opportunity to bring my brand side understanding of ecommerce processes, multilingual campaigns and strategic brand expansion into emerging markets, and apply this across a range of verticals. The business is enjoying an exciting period of expansion and I will help to ensure that Locaria’s services scale efficiently and in a manner that best serves clients.”
Discussing her approach to international expansion, Hong said: “Cross border e-commerce has matured to a level where crudely translating your website is not enough. To launch a successful new market entry, advertisers have to engage with consumers using market-specific search and social platforms, using a native format and in a language that they truly understand.”
