Forward3D's 2016 Round Up
2016 was an eventful year for Forward3D, with new offices, award wins and record breaking rankings, we are taking a look back at our best year yet.
2016 marked the first major steps in global expansion for the agency. Forward3D set up new camps in Hamburg, Paris, Hong Kong and Singapore, allowing us to better execute localised strategies for some of our global client base.
Last year was one of the best ever for new client partnerships. The business is proud to now be working with new 32 new brands within verticals such as finance, travel and retail.
2016 was a year of wins for Forward3D seeing us shortlisted, nominated and taking home a vast amount of accolades.
Back in June we were delighted to top the highly coveted category of Performance Agency of the Year, at The Drum Search Awards, beating 11 other competing agencies. The judges cited our unique data-led and performance-focused approach as a key of point of differentiation and were impressed by our annual growth.
Following on from this, we went onto win European Performance Marketing Agency of the Year at The European Performance Marketing Awards for our pioneering work as an independent agency.
As we hit peak ceremony season in November, Forward3D picked up 3 more accolades; Digital Marketing Agency of the Year at The Drum Network Awards, Best use of Content Marketing and Best Large PPC Agency at the UK Search Awards
Forward3D saw a significant year-on-year climb in industry rankings which was down to a significant growth in headcount, revenue and reach, supported by a refinement in the agency’s proposition and global structure.
The Drum Digital Census outlines the performance of digital agencies across the UK. Forward3D ranked in at 1st in the Elite Census 100+ Staff, a +9 place leap on last years position. We also placed #9 in the Financial table, which is based on billing metrics. View the results here.
eConsultancy Top 100 is a comprehensive and transparent ranking of all types of marketing agencies based purely on financial metrics. Having climbed 27 places between 2014-15, we climbed a further +5 places to reach number #24, now catching up on some of the largest global media agencies.
The Drum’s Independent Agencies Census is a report which provides insight into the current independent marketing agency landscape, and featured Forward3D in #2.
The Recommended Agency Register (RAR) released its Top 100 Agency rankings for 2016 and Forward3D placed 7th in the listing. The annual Top 100 Agencies report uses both Financial KPIs and client feedback to rank the performance of UK agencies.
Along with achieving some incredible accolades, throughout 2016 we also hosted a range of industry leading events in London and internationally.
Forward3D hosted a 'Going Global in 2016' seminar at the Gansevoort Park Avenue hotel in New York. The event consisted of a selection of sessions from Forward3D employees, and clients including Amazon ShopBop and Mulberry. The key focus was to help US brands understand a new approach to international expansion with detailed insights in foreign markets, including Europe & UK, Russia & the Middle East, China, Hong Kong & Taiwan, South Korea and Japan.
2016 also saw the launch of our SYNC3D roundtable series, designed for industry leaders to come together to discuss how digital channels can work in sync to continuously strive for best practice, whilst staying ahead of the ever changing digital landscape. Events were hosted in London’s iconic Gherkin and The Palace Downtown in Dubai.
